![]() The "Deluxe Vault Hunter's Collectors Edition" offers players the full game, an authentic Marcus Kincaid bobblehead doll, a hardbound art book, a set of four collectible stickers, a map of Pandora, and DLC including a digital comic. Online, over a local network, or in split screen, the game's co-op mode allows a second player to freely join and drop out of a game in session. In addition to the dusty, desert settings of the first adventure, the sequel visits a number of new Pandora environments, including the merciless frozen tundra where the revenge-driven plotline begins. Non-player characters are more expressive, and quest outcomes have more influence on the game world. Experience comes with kills and quest completions.Įxpanding on the original game, Borderlands 2's gun system can create millions of different computer-generated weapons, as well as shields and equipment enhancements. Players choose from four new character types, each with three branches of specialized development in the game's RPG-like experience system. ![]() ![]() The first-person action plays out in dystopian outpost environments on the original game's planet of Pandora, five years later, as a greedy industrialist called Handsome Jack seeks to weed out the local populace through a series of gladiator matches. ![]() Gearbox sends gamers back to the Borderlands for a shooter-adventure sequel of high-velocity combat and custom character development. So I would say as long as your BL2 has updated since the patch (April 2nd) and you own the Season Pass your Ultimate Vault Hunters Pack should be active. I think this DLC deserves a 4/5, and it is a nice "goodbye" for The Pre-Sequel as this will be the last major DLC. 5 Well it seems there is no visual indication if you only own the Season Pass: However my BL2 did update and I quite certainly have been able to level over 50. Still, this isn't going to detract from the overall score of the game though.Īll in all, this DLC is definitely worth your time if you are a Borderlands fan or have The Pre-Sequel, especially if you want another good Borderlands story. I know it's not really a big deal, but I would've liked to at least have one unique raid boss instead of using the final boss as a raid boss. The next thing I wanted to talk about is that there are no raid bosses. I welcome a challenging boss fight, but it feels like the boss's health isn't scaled properly to the player's level. It is a well designed fight and can be really fun, but I struggled to beat the boss while I was playing with my level 40 character on normal mode while I went through most of the DLC without much trouble. Gamepad support: Borderlands 2 supports both the Xbox 360 wired gamepad AND the PlayStation 3 Dualshock 3 Wireless Controller. I won't spoil anything for those who haven't played it, but the final boss fight I feel is too difficult. However, there are a few knit picks I have, which are my personal opinion. There aren't too many things I don't like about this DLC, in fact, I love this DLC. Also, it may just be me, but the gun fights between you and the enemies seems faster paced and more intense than the default game, which in my opinion, is really fun and feels more like Borderlands 2's combat. The glitch effect is random and can really spice up the gameplay and makes it more fun. There is a new pink rarity that adds a "glitch" effect to the weapon. The story was handled very well and fits with the comedic tone of Borderlands. I personally feel the story is pretty good and it also allows for some funny and insane moments since you are in Claptrap's mind. The story begins when Handsome Jack discovers that there is something insanely powerful inside of Claptrap's mind, so he shrinks down one of the vault hunters to go and retrieve it for him. The brand new Claptastic Voyage and Ultimate Vault Hunter Upgrade Pack 2 is the latest DLC for Borderlands: The Pre-Sequel and is easily the best DLC for it, and in my opinion, one of the best Borderlands DLCs.
